You can use infared to determin the heat and coldness in a house and use that to either cool down the house or warm up the house.

  24. # 24   Fred Says:
    March 6th, 2006 at 8:53 am

Jed it would be hard to use infared in the day beause of all the heat fro the sun.

  25. # 25   Jake R. Says:
    March 6th, 2006 at 8:54 am

you can use it to seewhat partsof the house are not geting heat. and you may clean out the system, or mabey puta space heater!

Using this is cool because you can track people just using there heat signiture they leave!:)

  27. # 27   Norman Says:
    March 6th, 2006 at 9:30 am

It help explains why the bahammahas are like they are. Exotic and warm! And if your tracking creatures you can use the general area they come from to see the possible areas they could be. Like a penguin won’t leave cold places and go to cuba!

Do you think it is possible that something that is usually transparent blocks infra red?

  31. # 31   Mandy*lou Says:

I think that the colorful pictures are pretty. How did humans come upon infired light? How did we find it and know it existed?

This site is amazing! If we cannot see infared then who came up with the idea of infared? Colors we cannot see, that are different degrees of heat. People could have thought the guy was crazy or somthing. I am going to look that up. Can any one tell me who thought of Infared ? lol

  36. # 36   tlight Says:

  39. # 39   Ariana Says:

I think that white means really really hot. And I think that black means really really cold. Just an assumption though.

Thank you for all your thoughts. I have a couple of requests for your comments.

    1. Make sure you are submitting your comment under the right entry. Some of you posted comments about infra red to my “Who Am I” blog.

    2. Try to make your comment clear. If you are responding to someone, or commenting on what someone said, you might want to cut and paste a part of their comment, or atleast explain what they said.

    3. Remember, your comments are being published for the world to see. Think about this as you write and be aware of spelling, capitalization, etc. It may be helpful to write your comment in a word processor and then cut and paste it into the “Leave a Reply” box.

I found this interesting, but it was really too fast for me to absorb enough to be useful. I have no doubt that this can be useful to me, but my guess is that it takes a great deal of time in front of the computer to set it up — probably more time than I would want to spend.

But I applaud your attempt to share what you have learned. We need to do this w/ each other more, and we need the time in which to do it.

And thanks for giving me my first opportunity to write in someone’s blog. K

I learned a lot about infra-red I learned that is changes colors in different heat temps. We can sometimes save peoples lives by the special carmeras that let us see infra-red.
